Recycled horseshoe designs by Firebird Creations

Thank you for visiting!

Hello, my name is Inga Bhowmick a retired nurse, crazy dog lady and horse owner living in the Hertfordshire countryside. I recycle horseshoes to make garden ornaments, and practical items such as pot stands and boot scrapers.

I have always been someone who makes stuff and has projects on the go. I had a huge amount of shoes from my horses laying around in buckets, and I really wanted to do something with them. I completed a welding course and that was it … I was hooked. Everything fitted together and now I have a small workshop in Hertfordshire.

If you love horses and gardening, as I do, then recycled horseshoe garden creations are perfect for you. I made flowers from the shoes of horses long passed, and the memories make me smile.

Horses shoes are as recognisable to horse owners as their own shoes. I’ve made flowers for friends from their horses shoes and they’ve been delighted to have a creation in the garden made from something that is such a big part of their lives (literally).

Firebird came about from having a crazy amount of horseshoes and having the idea that I would love to weld. I became adept at making flowers, birds and butterflies, but there are only so many that can grace my garden. From that, the idea of starting a small business arose. I hope you like my products.

I donate 10% of all orders to charity. This years charities are:
